SHE JUMPED AWAY IN‘ TOPAZ SKY
Some time in summer,
In years that long have passed,
When the august sun went down,
And the first stars appeared,
Like an elven maid of otherworld,
She came and bend my heart,
and she wispered,
Of the flowers of the world.
She jumped away, in‘ topaz sky,
To otherworld, to another world,
And she left me dreaming about all things,
That could have been.
Some time in autumn,
Of another year that passed,
When the golden leaves fell down,
And poor ruby apples grew,
We dreamed of endless future,
She came and bend my heart,
and she wispered,
Of worlds beyond the horizon.
She jumped away, in‘ topaz sky,
To otherworld, to another world,
And she left me dreaming about all things,
That could have been.
Some time in winter,
In the year of frozen time,
When midnight reached its peak,
And melodies disappeared,
Our paths slightly parted,
I stayed lone and lost her heart,
and she wispered,
Of the future, that has passed.
She jumped away, in‘ topaz sky,
To otherworld, to another world,
And she left me dreaming about all things,
That could have been.
One last time in spring,
In the year the sunrise came,
When I built up my new farm,
I saw two hawks distant fly,
Flying to their forest hideout,
I remembered her little words,
As she wispered,
Of the birds, that are free.
They flew away, in‘ topaz sky,
To otherworld, to another world,
And still left me dreaming about all things,
That could have been.
